Overview

A fully inclusive, co-educational, independent day school for children aged 2 – 16, Thorpe Hall School has a separate Day Nursery, Preparatory School and Senior School. It offers small class sizes, excellent facilities and outstanding results at Key Stage 2, at 11+, and at GCSE. Pupils have a happy and positive school life, rich in variety and with a wealth of opportunity for them to be challenged and to achieve. At the core of our success is a strong and focused pastoral and wellbeing programme. Here, children of all ages are nurtured and supported to develop their confidence, social skills and friendships, and their love of learning and taking part. We encourage intellectual risk-taking and create an environment where students are free to question, free to discover, free to try, and free to succeed. Although every student has different abilities and talents, we believe they all have a unique contribution to make, and we enthusiastically celebrate their successes. Founded in 1925, Thorpe Hall is a forward-thinking school that retains the traditional values of hard work, respect, fairness and good manners. In addition, we aim to foster confidence, perseverance, tolerance, and integrity; to enhance communication skills; to embrace creativity; to encourage teamwork and promote an open-minded and outward-looking philosophy. We are committed to providing a broad and varied life beyond lessons so that our students not only have the pleasure of trying many new activities when they are young but also find and develop essential skills that will form a vital part of their adult lives. The co-curricular programme at Thorpe Hall School is rich and diverse and enables pupils to explore their potential and discover new interests and passions. Thorpe Hall School is truly a place where everyone can thrive.
