Overview

ThirdWell Commodities is wholly Ghanaian owned commodity trading business headquartered in Nsawkaw in the Tain District of the Bono Region. We procure agriculture commodities directly from farmers and aggregate for sale to local processors and global markets. Underpinned by a business philosophy of social responsiveness and social impact, the company’s strategic objective is to become a platform for creating sustainable livelihood and long term value for farming households and communities. This strategic objective is an expression of our fundamental belief that the well-being of the FARMER is critical to our Sustainability as a viable commodity trading business. We currently have operating capacity to procure over 10,000 Metric Tons of Raw Cashew Nuts, Soya Beans, Shea Nuts, and Maize per annum directly from farmers in our ThirdWell Akuafo Network (TAN). Presently, we have over 2,000 farmers in over 40 communities in the Bono, Bono East, and Northern regions of Ghana. We procure Raw Cashew Nuts, Soya Beans and Shea Nuts along the ThirdWell Trading Corridor (TTC) stretching from Nsawkaw in Tain district of the Bono Region; through Kintampo in the Kintampo North district of the Bono East Region; ending in Yendi, Nanton, and Savelugu districts of the Northern Region. In the medium term, we will focus on northward expansion of the ThirdWell Trading Corridor to include communities in the Savannah, Upper West, and North East regions of Ghana. By the end of 2028, the ThirdWell Trading Corridor will guarantee access to over 200 communities and over 10,000 farmers across these regions, resulting in trading volumes in excess of 50,000MT per annum.
