Overview

“The KO App” is a mobile sports app that provides live updates and news during the NSW Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout, or as it is commonly known, the Koori Knockout! The KO App was created by Muru Group & Muru Corporation and was the brainchild of our CEO Mitchell Ross. Mitchell created the app in the lead up to the 2016 Koori Knockout to provide you with real time updates during the Knockout, so you can keep an eye on how your family, friends, and community are going over the October long weekend. The first version of the app (1.0) was released with basic features only two days prior to the KO and managed to amass 4,500 downloads before the long weekend was over. In 2017, its second year, The KO App has undergone a major upgrade, in order to provide a greater overall user experience, along with a couple of added new features, such as our live scoreboard. The new 2.0 version of the app has been developed in collaboration with Indigenous owned digital agency NGNY, who have done an amazing job helping us bring our dreams to reality.
