Founded in 1951 by Rebecca and Dean Richardson and chartered as a nonprofit, 501(c) 3 in 1956, the Women's Institute of Houston (WIH) has served thousands of men and women searching for a community of learners in Houston. We proudly offer a variety of programs, including weekly classes, Sunday lectures, lecture luncheons, and online learning experiences. With dozens of courses and lectures to choose from in a variety of topics, learning something new can be transformational! Men and women alike enjoy the continuing education courses we offer, and many see these classes as one of their favorite social outings. Our comfortable, engaging environment is the ideal place to follow your intellectual pursuits and stay current on issues and topics relevant in our world today.
