The State Journal is the daily newspaper of Frankfort, Ky, the state capital of Kentucky. It is a subsidiary of Dix Communications, a family-owned business with newspaper and radio properties in Ohio, Kentucky, Maryland and Florida. The State Journal is regularly recognized by the Kentucky Press Association for excellence in journalism.
