The Rochambeau Sports and Racquets Club is a prestigious but welcoming members-only institution located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of the French Riviera. (Take autoroute D7 towards Saint Paul-de-Vence. If you get to the fish market you’ve gone too far.) The tennis here is of a good standard (indeed, we are proud to have sent three ball boys to Roland Garros, and one famous player once smoked in the plunge pool). But Rochambeau members find as much to enjoy off the court as on it. Facilities include: The Panoramic Restaurant and Sorbet Lounge // A dedicated snorkelling jetty // Our 18th Century orangery and dance club // Seasonal cabanas with state-of-the-art refrigeration // Club shop & cap museum // Pedalo shuttle service // The Orson Welles Memorial Garden // Fashionable ashtrays // Midnight Archery Club // Excellent towels. The Rochambeau Club has become known in recent years for its premium rosé — ‘Racquet’ — which has gained unexpected recognition and a vocal fanbase outside of the club grounds.
