Overview

The Medic Collective is a non-profit organisation that collates free resources for medical school applications in one place. The Medic Collective was set up by a group of medical students at Cambridge to help tackle the increasing inequality in access to guidance for aspiring medical students. Too often students believe they must pay extortionate fees to prepare for the admissions tests and interviews. Luckily there is a wealth of resources online but many of the best guides are not well known and often never reach the school pupils that could benefit the most. For this reason, The Medic Collective was established to collate all of the unmissable resources into one place. In addition, for aspiring medics that fall into widening access criteria, the price tag attached to the application process can present further barriers. By collating only free resources into one place and making students aware of the scholarships and bursaries available, applying to medical school is no longer a matter of money. Through this initiative, The Medic Collective aims to ensure that absolutely everyone has the confidence to apply to medicine, no matter the background.
