Overview

The Land Registry was established in August 1993 as one of the first trading fund departments. We are committed to providing secure and customer-friendly land registration and information services for the community. We will continue to enhance our services by pursuing new initiatives and the introduction of land title registration. We aim to maintain an efficient and effective land registration system to facilitate the orderly conduct of land transactions. Our main duties are: (i) registration of documents affecting land under the Land Registration Ordinance. (ii) provision of facilities for search and supply of copies of the information extracted from land register and related records, and (iii) registration of owners' corporations under the Building Management Ordinance.
