The Lampshade Lady believes lampshades are as essential to completing your interior design as accessories are to finishing a special outfit. A lampshade's shape, design and colour can make a room look more - or less - formal, feminine or masculine for example. Lampshades can be used to inject colour or add humour. The possibilities are endless: a bespoke lampshade will complement your lamp, light up your home and set the mood. Isobel Howard co-founded a soft-furnishing company in London in the early 1980's and has been actively involved in the soft-furnishing trade ever since. Isobel has a bit of an obsession about lampshades and decided to put her lampshade making skills to good use, founding The Lampshade Lady with the aim of making beautiful and unique lampshades and repairing and restoring treasured lampshades. Made in Eng;and: The Lampshade Lady makes / re-covers all the lampshades in the studio at Bilting Farm Business Centre, near Ashford in Kent. Personal service and attention to detail throughout the process ensures the lampshades are made to the highest standard.
