Overview

The JUSTÜS Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring and facilitating the entry of legacy (pre-legalization) operators to the legal cannabis market. The organization was founded in October of 2021 by the prominent cannabis leader, Steve DeAngelo, in response to two related trends: the exclusion of legacy cannabis operators from the legal industry, and the persistence of a dual market (legacy/legal) following legalization, which results in a delay in consumer migration to the legal cannabis market. Scheril Murray Powell, Esq. has joined Steve in leading the organization as the Chief Operating Officer. The overall mission of the JUSTÜS Foundation is two-fold: 1. to secure a role in the industry for the pioneers who carried cannabis through the years of Prohibition, and 2. to create a single unified legal market for cannabis. THE PATHWAY TO PERFORMANCE The JUSTÜS Foundation will focus its work in four main areas: • advocating for regulations that provide a viable pathway for legacy operators to enter the legal market, • facilitating skills training and mentorship needed for legacy clients to succeed in the legal market, • assisting legacy clients in launching licensed cannabis businesses, and • Optimizing the Supply Chain to ensure Legacy Operator success.
