The International Students' Union of Norway (ISU) is an independent, democratic, non-profit, and non-partisan organisation that is run by and for international students. It is committed to preserving and defending the social, academic and political rights and interests of all international students studying in Norway. The International Students' Union of Norway was formed in the late 1970s when a small group of dedicated student activists worked to protect the personal and academic welfare of international students in Norway. Since the 1970s, the organisation has grown - establishing 28 local member branches at higher education institutions throughout Norway.
