Overview
The Institute for Higher Learning (IHL) is one of the country's premier boutique educational consulting firms. IHL was founded in 1996 by Mayssoun Bydon and is comprised of a team of education professionals, academics, researchers, writers, consultants and graduate students who have developed a unique approach to advising students on every aspect of their academic and professional careers. By specializing in both test preparation and admissions consulting, IHL offers a comprehensive advisory solution for any student applying to college or graduate school. Since our founding, we have worked with nearly 2,000 students. IHL specializes in providing highly personalized service and creating customized, one-on-one tutoring and consulting programs for each client. The company’s mission is to help each student maximize his or her potential and achieve his or her academic and professional goals. Standardized Exam and Subject Tutoring: IHL provides expert tutoring for all undergraduate and graduate standardized entrance exams and board exams as well as subject tutoring for high school, undergraduate and graduate coursework, with a special emphasis on law school courses. We also offer a unique Law School Skills program for students entering law school. College/Graduate School Admissions Consulting: IHL provides comprehensive consulting services for students applying to college and graduate school. We work with a limited number of students during each application cycle in order to provide individualized attention. Academic and Professional Support: IHL provides academic and professional support for students at the high school, college and graduate school levels. This support can include assistance with selecting courses and picking academic programs. It can also include guidance on applications to jobs, internships, residency programs and clerkships. IHL also specialized in guiding students through the process of obtaining testing accommodations for disabilities.
