Overview

The Hope Giver Campaign (THGC) is a worldwide movement advocating the importance of spreading hope, initiated by Anwar Elkamony in 2021 and inspired by his own story of overcoming adversity. Anwar Elkamony is the first athlete to achieve an international tennis ranking after a bone marrow transplant operation, a book author and speaker. Anwar has been honored by many cancer and educational organizations in Egypt and abroad. he campaign runs yearly with participants in more than 22 countries around the world and aims to uplift millions of people, including the handicapped, cancer fighters, golden-agers, cardiovascular patients, orphans, in addition to homeless people, mental health patients and hopeless people who faced a traumatic event or serious disease. Moreover, the campaign was founded on 5 key pillars: cancer, disabilities, sustainable development, sports and art, and humanitarian projects. Through the Hope Giver Campaign, Anwar wants to say: “Nothing is impossible…Look at me, how I got through the difficult stage and years of suffering. Believing that hope crosses boundaries, we look forward to maintaining continuity and supporting various groups, through many activities and campaigns.” In 2021 The Hope Giver Campaign launched from Geneva, Switzerland and reached 1,5M people in 10 countries across 4 continents and achieved great results: – Participation of volunteers and organizations from more than 10 countries – 3 MEGA events in Switzerland, France and Egypt – More than 150 events and activities in Egypt and worldwide in 56 days with more than 20 partnering companies and organizations for cancer patients, people with disabilities and orphans – More than 500 volunteers – More than 2400 participants In 2022, the campaign reached more than 6 million people, 10,000 participants, 2,000 volunteers, 14 countries, more than 250 events and activities around the world including 4 MEGA events in Mexico, France, Lebanon & Egypt.
