Overview

The Henry Ford Entrepreneurship Academy (HFEA) is a long-term region wide commitment to promote entrepreneurship through workshops and exchanges, working with stakeholders throughout Middle East and Africa. Eventually the Academy will become a centre for networking and connecting alumni and the local business community. In cooperation with the Ford Motor Company Fund and the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), the Henry Ford Entrepreneurship Academy will assist future business leaders to think and act like entrepreneurs. Morocco: The first Henry Ford Entrepreneurship Academy program was launched in Morocco in partnership with the International Institute of Higher Education in Morocco (IIHEM) in December 2015. Since its launch, the Henry Ford Entrepreneurship Academy has trained close to 100 entrepreneurs in Morocco with a range of vital new skills, tools and the entrepreneurial mind-set needed to nurture creative ideas, assessing the feasibility of their plans, and to help budding entrepreneurs launch and grow new ventures. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Ford Motor Company Fund and Virginia Commonwealth University team up with Effat University to bring the Henry Ford Entrepreneurship Academy to Saudi Arabia. The partnership with Effat University and the launch of the Henry Ford Entrepreneurship Academy to Saudi Arabia highlight the important role women have to play in the future business landscape of the Kingdom. Taking place over three days from March 7-9, 2017, the workshop’s participants will receive cutting-edge training from VCU and Effat University professors and insights from local entrepreneurs on the steps and activities for creating and sustaining the new ventures.
