The George is an 18th century, Grade II listed pub on Great Portland Street, Fitzrovia. Across two floors, we offer a food and drink menu befitting of a modern London public house. If pubs could talk, this one would have a lot to say. As a central hub for the political, cultural and social movements of the late 18th century, home to writers and poets in the 20th century, and in recent years, a favourite haunt of locals and travellers alike, The George has seen it all. Join us for great Guinness, Irish Whiskey and Irish Coffees, served alongside cask ales, craft beers, seasonal cocktails, an extensive wine list, and food served all day. The George is the second collaborative project from publican Dominic Jacobs, Culinary Director James Knappett and JKS Restaurants. In July 2021, the team opened The Cadogan Arms in Chelsea.
