Overview
David Hanna was an American realist painter and sculptor best known for his paintings of landscapes, people and historic sites. Virtually self-taught, he was one of the most gifted fourth generation artists of the Brandywine tradition. He worked extensively in the media of watercolor, drybrush and egg tempera, and later in clay sculpture. The David Hanna Trust is actively researching provenance and collection information on the artist's work to advance his artistic legacy and contribute to scholarship in American art history.
