Education Administration Programs

Overview

Established in 1958, the real estate education program at San Diego State University was the first of its kind to be instituted in the California State University System. In 2009, The Corky McMillin Center for Real Estate was created through a generous endowment from The McMillin Companies. Today, the Center is part of the Fowler College of Business and exists to further real estate education, research and community service. The Center fulfills its education mission through funding of lecturers, to teach specialized courses, providing non-curriculum classes and workshops like Argus training sessions and internships and career counseling for students. It accomplishes its research mission through local industry forecasts and acquisitions of data. Its public service mission is met through numerous educational and networking events that bring together students, faculty, industry professionals and the public at large.
