TCF was founded in 1994 by well-know businessman Mr. Dilip D. Khatau, and comprises a team of around 80 dedicated members across its divisions, executing its programmes in and around Corbett Tiger Reserve (Uttarakhand), Kanha and Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserves (Madhya Pradesh), Kaziranga National Park (Assam) and around the Greater Rann of Kutch (Gujarat). TCF's programmes are a multi pronged and integrated approach to conservation, the spheres of its work being Wildlife Conservation, Research and Awareness, Rural Medical Outreach Programme, Sustainable Livelihoods, Cattle Care and Special Initiatives involving sustainable development interventions such as renewable energy use in the form of solar lights and biogas, improved agricultural techniques, crop-raiding mitigation, watershed management, scholarships to underprivileged students of forest-dwelling communities and such. TCF is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and nature, and to fulfilling the ambition that man and nature must live together in harmony.
