Overview

The Children’s Theater Company of New York (CTC) (top 12 children’s theater companies across the U.S.) is a non-profit organization founded in the year 2000. The CTC is a national organization that has launched multiple Chapters in several cities across the country. ‘Kid with a Cause’, the Company’s signature program, produces a multi-disciplinary program (Four disciplines: acting, dancing, singing, and character education) that culminates into a full musical showcase and choral program for a full performance run at a professional theater venue. The program serves in & after-school residencies, serving kids ages 5 to 18 in 4 separate age groups with age-appropriate content. With a social-justice imperative at its core, CTC’s award-winning musical catalog is rooted in the belief that through the magic of theater youth can explore their power to impact diversity, develop empathy, and become agents of healing and the voices of positive change in their communities.
