THE CHILD WELFARE POLICY AND PRACTICE GROUP exists to improve outcomes for children and their families by designing and implementing successful system change and improving front line practice. Projects range from strengthening child welfare systems to independent consulting arrangements, all with the goal of improving the lives of children and families across the United States. CWG provides technical assistance in the following areas: Engagement Skills Training; Strategic Planning; Advanced Family Team Conferencing; Strengths-Based Assessment and Individualized Case Planning Training; Supervisory Coaching; Coaching Family Team Conferencing Practitioners; Core Pre-service and Advanced Practice Training; Making Visits Matter Training; Qualitative Service Reviews©; Safe Case Closure; Strengthening Supervisors as Coaches and Mentors Training; Support System Development of a Core Practice Model; and Comprehensive Systems Assessments.
