Overview

We the research team in no particular order: Bob Garvey, Stephen Burt, Wendy-Ann Smith, Duminda Rajasinghe, Alexandra Barosa-Pereira, David Clutterbuck and Zoltan Csigas. Our burning question how do coaches interpret their development journey and what does that mean for the profession? Has been the driver for our research project. Here is a little about each of us: Wendy-Ann has a keen interest in the development of coaches and how that translates to coach training inclusive of ethics in practice and positive psychology. She teaches positive psychology and coaching psychology in a number of universities. Bob Garvey is interested in coach education. He is an experienced coach/mentor and has published extensively on many different aspects of coaching and mentoring. David Clutterbuck is one of the original pioneers of coaching and mentoring, co-founder of the EMCC, visiting professor at four universities, practice lead at Coaching and Mentoring International and co-dean of the Global Team Coaching Institute. Stephen’s interest in coaching maturity / mastery is rooted in his reflections on his own development as a coach, learning to play jazz, performing improvised comedy, and occasionally playing tennis well and in his long time fascination with how leaders, coaches and others achieve excellence in their chosen fields.
