Overview

Azadi means freedom in Hindi, Urdu and Farsi. At The Azadi Project (TAP), we create safe spaces for women survivors of war and conflict to share their stories or simply seek comfort. We recognize the importance of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programs in creating strong women leaders and provide psychosocial support using creative tools such as storytelling at refugee and migrant camps around the world. We have worked with 3 of the most marginalized ethnic refugee groups in the world - Afghans, Yemenis, and the Rohingya. Our programs in India, Greece, Yemen (virtual), Bangladesh, Niger and now in Poland have helped empower over 5000 women by giving them control over their narratives.
