Overview

The Agri Collaboratory [TAC] is a “non-compete” not for profit, Agri “Think and Do Tank” – helping build Digital Public Goods for Agriculture in Open Source, with the Ecosystem and the Govt. It was formed in 2021 with co-founders from diverse disciplines, leveraging the power of collaboration across Government, Private & Academic Ecosystems; Open-source technologies and a borderless “outside in”, pool of global expertise, to solve complex societal issues. Project AgCx: Automated Rural Finance Assessment: TAC has built a high-impact use case to establish a holistic, authenticated, low cost, digital assessment for millions of Farmer households, their Farm and Crop to access institutional finance. It plans to leverage real time, consented private & public data flows, using an Agri Data Exchange to create each assessment in 50 minutes and Rs 50/- A proof of concept is planned soon, in Mulkanoor and Jammikunta, Telangana along with collaborators. TAC is converging national capability for Project AgCx by actively engaging with the Govt. of Telangana, Samunnati, IFC / The World Bank, Niti Aayog, iSPIRT, Research & Innovation Circle of Hyderabad [RICH], Min of Agriculture; Academia like IISc [IUDX], Prof. Jayashankar Telangana State Agri Univ. [PJTSAU]; Digital Green, Agri Tech Startups like Dvara, Cropin, Satsure, etc. TAC is inspired by the vision of India emerging as a global leader in open source Agri innovation and the Indian [small, tenanted and women] farmer to be profitable, sustainable, and resilient. The Agri Collaboratory commits to: * Architecting “Digital Public Goods” for Agri, with the Ecosystem and the Government * Building a global community for Open Source Agri Innovation * All learnings being usable by partners * A “non-compete” / ”non-duplication” policy * Not violate Data Privacy - Farmer’s or TAC Partners' * Encourage commercialisation of Agri value chains * Being strictly non-political * Building Trust through Governance and Transparency
