Overview

“The Family of Global Volunteers”, was initiated in 2011-12 by Teach For India fellow, Anurag Maloo with a simple belief to make every child believe in the immense potential they have within themselves and that everyone is special. We intend to expand the horizons of volunteering to the children at such an early age which will open the gateway to endless possibilities of learning and help build a strong character and a sense of community in them. Our key focus areas are service based learning, inquiry-based learning, peace education, education for sustainable development, experiential learning environment, fun and game learning, global citizenship, collaborative learning, learning from nature and Earth with the motto of thinking globally and acting locally. Giving the children the opportunities to make right choices, to gain the right knowledge and experience through volunteering and exposing them to different avenues of life will strengthen our future generations and create better citizens for tomorrow.
