Texas Early Childhood Education Coalition

Non-profit Organization Management

Overview

The Texas Early Childhood Education Coalition was formed in 2003 to build a system of quality early development and education that prepares children in Texas for success in their education and life. The statewide, broad-based Coalition brings ONE strong voice to the Capitol on issues affecting early care and education. Over the past seven years, TECEC has worked with its members and partners to secure more than $125 million in child care, Head Start and pre-k investments through four key work areas: research, public policy, public awareness, and community organizing. Today TECEC represents nearly 6,000 early childhood development and education stakeholders from every region in Texas, and is proud to partner with world-renowned entities such the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Rice University and the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.
