Overview

The Associaton of Health and Economics, Finland National Health and Economics Association has around 1000 members. It is also member of the European Association of Hospital managers. Association has 11 Regional Associations (mainly organized as Hospital Districts) and 9 professional organizations (Associations of Hospital Managers, Headnurses, etc.) The Association of Health and Economics Finland is a joint organisation that promotes co-operation between hospitals, primary care and other service providers in the field of administration, economics and management in healthcare. Association organizes annually national conference and one policy meeting with stakeholders. Association also publishes a journal that is meant to all members of the organization. The journal is also available to everybody through internet: www.terveysjatalous.fi The mission of the Association is: • to promote the professional competence and responsibility of managers and senior employees in hospital and public health management and • to foster the growing together of the hospital and to seek to influence European Union and national legislation affecting the health care sector.
