About TEDxUniversityofMacedonia Inspired by the TED's mission, "Ideas worth spreading", some students from University of Macedonia in 2013 decided that this belief must be implemented in Thessaloniki, for all of its university students to live. TEDxUniversityofMacedonia, in these 4 years of its short but meaningful existence, created a strong community willing to discuss and create new ideas for a better future for everyone. By maintaining the true TED experience, while bringing interesting idea bearers who want to spread their thoughts, we try to promote and to encourage what we believe the most. To spread the ideas for a better place. About TEDx, x=independently organized event. A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and videos previously recorded at TED conferences are shared with the community. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. The content and design of each TEDx event is unique and developed independently, but all of them have features in common.
