Overview

Our aim is to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities to young people and the wider community. We achieve this by developing, organising, and delivering a range of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) activities and events. By inspiring, informing and enthusing young people to have an interest in STEM, raising awareness of the application and relevance of STEM subjects and publicising STEM opportunities. We work in partnership with schools, FE colleges, HE establishments, Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Enrichment & Engagement (STEM E&E) providers, industry, business, government both local and national. Join us for our Digital Science Festival 2021 this November 2021! 1) The Public Programme aims to appeal to a large and diverse audience through talks, shows, tours, activities and workshops that take place in venues across the North East Scotland area. 2) The Early Years and Primary Programme offers pupils the opportunity to interact with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Teachers, classroom assistants and parent helpers are also invited to attend the programme which offers a wide range of STEM workshops, presentations and shows all correlating with the Curriculum for Excellence. 3) TechFest's Activity Weekend is one of the most popular events in the TechFest calendar. The weekend is made up of two days of workshops, shows and activities for families to get involved with. Techfest can also bring a variety of workshops into primary schools providing an excellent opportunity for pupils to engage in enjoyable and challenging activities.
