In February of this year I was granted a patent for real time in situ torque measurement (below). This patent was sold to Nabors Drilling. Work continues on a fastener with integrated retention and a skidding module for heavy equipment (+1200t). Other patents are in process for previous employers (Nabors, ODS). The competent execution of the design review process is one of the most important yet is often poorly executed. It provides an early opportunity to review and validate the design intent.
