All TATRA vehicles are unique thanks to the so-called “Tatra concept of chassis”. A robust chassis gives TATRA vehicles unbelievable powers when passing through the toughest terrain in extreme climatic conditions whether they are bitter arctic frosts or high desert temperatures. There are 4 model lines in current TATRA TRUCKS production program. The civil sector is represented by the TATRA PHOENIX and TATRA TERRA models. Special and defensive projects are represented by the TATRA FORCE and TATRA TACTIC series. Since its establishment, TATRA has been based in the town of Kopřivnice in the eastern part of the Czech Republic. Also in the same city is a subsidiary of TATRA METALURGIE a.s., which is engaged in manufacturing of castings and forgings for engineering applications in many European countries.
