Taranaki District Health Board (TDHB) was established on 1 January 2001 and is one of 20 DHBs in New Zealand. DHBs were established as vehicles for the public funding and provision of personal health services, public health services, and disability support services in respect of specified geographically defined populations. Taranaki is one of those magical places in the world where people come for a visit, and find they never want to leave.
