Swiss Excellence Airplanes was founded in 2014 by CEO Alberto Porto and a group of international engineering experts. The headquarters are based in Lugano, Switzerland. The operations site is based in Pavullo nel Frignano, Italy. SEA developed out of Porto Ricerca, a consulting company for fluid dynamics research and high level engineering. With their experience from projects in aviation, the automotive industry and sailboat racing the founders developed an ultralight aircraft more innovative and more advanced than others in its category. The Risen confirmed its outstanding performance by breaking the FAI world speed record of the class R in 2015. SEA is a young company with an international team of creative and skilled people.
