With over 15 years both constructing and consulting on complex building envelopes, we’ve seen first-hand what can happen when building envelopes are not designed and constructed as a complete system. Water infiltration, energy loss, biological growth, decreased inhabitant comfort, occupant dissatisfaction, and lawsuits are just a few of the major problems that can arise. Through our experience and knowledge of both sides of the industry, we can bridge the gaps between construction and design. We like to take an educational approach with our clients - considering the building envelope as a complete system and educating designers and contractors along the way about how each individual component, when specified and installed properly, will comprise an end product that is greater than the sum of its parts.
