Overview

We are a non-profit organization in Uganda. We give children hope for a new beginning, hope for a better life! We rescue and help develop children under 6 years old; when possible, we rescue and empower families, and work with the communities providing workshops in parenting, family planning, health and nutrition. When children are admitted to our transition home, they receive health care, proper nutrition, early childhood development, physical and emotional therapy, and a caring and safe place they call it HOME. Through music, playing, sharing, dancing, and coloring, these children from 0 to 6 years old start their recovery process. For some this process takes longer because their level of malnutrition is severe. The reason to focus on children under 6 years old is because the first 6 years in a child's life is a window of opportunities to positively impact their brain development. If we miss this period it would be very unlikely that a child will ever reach their peers group at school. When the child and family are ready we proceed to reunify them. At that moment and for a period of a few months, the child will receive bedding, monthly food distribution and more importantly school fees, uniforms and books. Our commitment to education is second to none! We also work with government agencies to identify families who are willing to adopt a child when there are not family members to care for the child.
