Overview

Our Mission: St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School is a parish day school that instills Christian values, builds a strong academic foundation, encourages personal achievement, stimulates creative expression, and fosters a heart of giving in a nurturing environment in children age one through grade six. St. Mark's welcomes students of all faiths to learn and grown on our safe and beautiful campus. Conveniently located near downtown Jacksonville and easily accessed, our students represent diverse backgrounds and reside in 30 zip codes throughout Northeast Florida. Since opening in 1970, St. Mark's has proudly upheld a commitment to academic excellence. Our impressive accreditations, academic performance, and facilities enable us to attract and retain an outstanding faculty who are passionate about what they teach, devoted to their students, and admired by parents. It all begins with our unique and innovative Early Learning Program for one and two year olds. The journey through childhood continues through preschool, a full-day kindergarten, and grades 1-6. Students graduate well-prepared to succeed in middle school and beyond. Our faith-based learning environment instills Christian values through spiritual, character, and leadership development. Opportunities beyond academics are numerous at every age level. Engaging and talented resource teachers provide an exposure to world languages (Mandarin Chinese and Spanish), art, music, sports, and sciences. Students are welcome to participate on our competitive basketball, volleyball, flag football, and soccer teams, as well as a LEGO Robotics Team. We believe in learning by doing and in using what we learn to make a difference in the world. Hands-on experiences in each grade level intentionally use service activities to engage our students, enhance curriculum, affirm character values, and build relationships locally and globally.
