Overview

Charged with administering the tax laws of St. Christopher & Nevis, the Inland Revenue Department officially commenced operations in January 1961. Located in our capital Basseterre, along the Bay Road, the Inland Revenue Department is the primary revenue collection agency in the Federation. As a team we are committed to increasing and enhancing the services we provide, by actively involving and engaging taxpayers, their representatives and other stakeholders. The Inland Revenue Department recognizes that it is imperative that we carry out our duties with diligence and impartiality, as citizens and taxpayers you must make prompt and accurate tax declarations, pay your taxes on time, report non-compliant behaviors, corruption or evasion, and make suggestions, to help us execute our duties in a manner that warrants the highest degree of public confidence.
