Overview
Established in 1834, St. Joseph's Villa is a non-sectarian, accredited nonprofit organization that provides children with special needs and their families the opportunity to succeed through effective and innovative programs. With support from our community, we create brighter futures for those facing homelessness, mental illness, autism, special education needs, and other challenges. The Villa changes the lives of more than 3,000 children and families each year throughout Central Virginia. Our staff bring expertise from many fields to meet each individual's unique needs and build upon their strengths. We help people gain skills for long-term independence, stability, and success. St. Joseph's Villa is licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services, Virginia Department of Education and Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, and is certified by the Council on Accreditation for children and family services. We are an approved Medicaid provider.
