Overview

Society for Space Education, Research and Development (SSERD) is a registered Not-for-profit Organization with its administrative office in Bangalore. We are a community committed to elevating and fostering the education of space and research universally. SSERD is working towards providing Space Education and creating awareness among the students in the Rural regions, Government schools, Backward communities, underprivileged, and Special children, along with the support of Corporates through CSR funds. SSERD today stands as an International Organization having its base in India, the Philippines and Nepal, additionally visiting Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, and Ghana for Space Education Outreach. Our dream as an organization is to help students and young people across the world become the next space generation and to help students across the world prepare their talented youth to be leaders on this planet and beyond. SSERD has also conducted various Space programs like Space Talks, Space Treks, Astro Space Camps, Stargazing, Asteroid Search Campaign, Student Guidance in Internships, Projects, World Space Week, National Science Day activities for more than 50,000 beneficiaries across the world. Our model of teaching is STEM-based and practical. With our practical and hands-on activities, we seek to induce both soft and specialized skills of engineering, mathematical thinking, coding, critical and analytical thinking, team building, etc. We are jubilant to share that SSERD was recently recognized as Space Tutor by ISRO, and the United Nations’ UNOOSA office shared our successful journey on their Space4youth initiative. We are also one of the 100 projects selected by the Paris Peace Forum in 2020. SSERD would be happy to collaborate with any individuals/organizations with similar interests.
