EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Moving AVT overseas from the US to the Gulf Region was a tactical move due to the thirst for integrated technologies in emerging markets. Recognizing the need for a professional service provider in the region, we were motivated in 2008 to make the leap into our first project in Dubai with the automation of a high-end villa in Jumeirah, thereby enabling us to study the market and region while on the ground. Inspired and encouraged by the first success story, Spectrum Lighting Technology partnered with one of the leading lighting suppliers in the region in order to facilitate further structural expansion. This enticed the founder, Shawkat Jaghoub, to fulfil the needs of both the commercial and residential segments in the market thereby paving the way for the establishment of Spectrum Lighting Technology.
