Hi! I'm Beverly Hayes. Spanish Connect Translations came from my desire to contribute my strong language skills to help small businesses, organizations, and individuals to connect with the Latino community with professional and native-sounding translations. It is no secret that a properly executed translation is not just based on converting words into other words. It is a way of perfectly transmitting the original message without compromising the grammar and flow of the Spanish language in the process. Unfortunately, throughout my life I have come across many unprofessional and poorly executed translations. A translation product that shows grammar and spelling mistakes, or that sounds too literal, is almost offensive to the educated Latino audience, My upbringing as a native Spanish speaker, my education and job-related experiences, as well as my developed relationships through the years with many US Latinos from around the world, helped me to develop a unique blend of skills that you will not find in the Spanish translation field. Bilingualism does not equip a person to be a professional translator automatically. Just like not every American is a good writer, not every bilingual person can translate correctly and effectively.
