Overview
South County Cal-SOAP is a non-profit organization that works on several school campuses to help prepare low-income and first-generation students for college. The California Student Opportunity and Access Program (Cal-SOAP) is administered by the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC). Individual projects apply each year for continued state funding. State funding must be matched by an equal or higher level of matching resources by consortium member. The Mission of the South County Cal-SOAP Consortium is to provide access to low-income and first-generation students who have the potential to succeed in post-secondary education. Cal-SOAP is committed to advising, informing and exposing students and their parents to post-secondary opportunities and resources.
