Overview

SoStakes is an M&E firm based out of Bangalore, focused on providing services to Foundations & Corporates in their endeavor to evaluate, measure & account for the impact of projects in the social development sphere. Huge sums of money are invested by companies and their foundations every year with the aim of benefiting society, but what do these investments actually achieve? Who really benefits and by how much? Our approach is to measure the social impact which can help to answer these questions. The process of evaluation we adopt depends on the size, nature of project & the purpose of measurement. Our Services: 1) Identify Impactful Social Investments: Based on CSR plans/policy of corporations, we help them to identify projects and NGOs with relevant experience in the specific area of social intervention and geography. 2) Due Diligence of implementing partners: We conduct due diligence of the NGOs by reviewing their financial accounts, level of transparency and their governance policies. Background verification is undertaken by peer evaluation. 3) Pre Social-investment-Project Evaluation: Identify key deliverables and metrics of the project for a short/long term horizon. We define how the deliverables will be measured to assess impact analysis. 4) Monitoring project execution: Monitoring project progress with a feedback mechanism for deviations, if any. We hold an experience in monitoring 50 govt. schools with 2408 beneficiaries. This is done through site visits, interview of beneficiaries, local administration, etc. 5) Social Audit Reports: Conducting Independent Social Audit for the implementing organization or NGO which have been beneficiary of your CSR funds. The Social Audit would include : • Conduct of social audit to assess whether program objectives are being met by implementing partners. • Financial due diligence of expenditure vs budgets • Stakeholder analysis. (Impact mapping) • Suggestions if any to improve the program
