Overview

Solectria Corporation was founded in 1989 by James and Anita Worden, MIT graduates to develop and market electric vehicles and electric vehicle components. Premium efficiency, high reliability and cost effectiveness are key goals and differentiation. The Force sedan sold by the hundreds as the first widely available AC induction drive EV with full features such as regenerative braking with one-pedal driving, on-the-fly 3-power level drive selection, heat, A/C, automatic drive system and a high frequency on-board charger. The Sunrise is the ultra-efficient, 100% composite construction advanced vehicle prototype capable of twice the range of the most advanced EVs available such as the Force and other OEM automaker EV products, EV drive systems available include direct drive AC induction and PM drives for solar cars, sedans, pickup trucks, vans, trucks and buses providing all these vehicle types with greater efficiency, lower weight and longer range than competitive systems offered. All are made with high reliability as well as economy in mind.
