The Sochin Research Institute is an independent think tank and program implementer that conducts research covering international affairs and theoretical debates in the field of Africa-Asian relations and area studies. This includes intercontinental relations in the fields of security, diplomacy, economy, political networks, and societal connections. Our research takes a thematic approach to examine the ways in which we can conceptualize these two very different, yet inextricably linked areas of the world. We study the interactions between countries in a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive way. Our researchers use advanced social science techniques and machine learning tools to interrogate perceptions, attitudes and values. By elevating data into evidence through rigorous statistical analysis, we are able to truly understand the root causes of behaviors as opposed to merely describing symptoms.
