SMARTSEL Sdn Bhd is a fully-owned subsidiary of Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI). SMARTSEL was established in 2017 as a state-backed telecommunication Infrastructure company that has been given the authority to plan, build, provide and maintain the shared fibre infrastructure throughout Selangor.
