Overview

Smart Soil Technologies creates smart substrate and fertilizer technologies to maximize crop yields in the indoor and traditional farming sectors. Smart Soil Technologies is on a mission to tackle the most complex problems facing the global farming industry. The world needs to provide enough food for a massively growing population, but it needs to do so sustainably. Solving these challenges urgently calls for technologies that maximize crop yields while minimizing damage to the environment. That’s where Smart Soil Technologies comes in. With a team of experienced soil scientists, plant biologists, and minerologists, we combine nitty-gritty scientific testing with years of experience growing greens, herbs, and medicinal plants. To date, we’ve tested more than 40 proprietary biocompatible substrates to identify the best candidates for lettuce greens, basil, dill, mustard greens, spinach, and much more. Our substrates add immense value by maximizing yields for traditional greens as well simplifying the cultivation of otherwise problematic plants. To complement our substrate technologies, we also develop biocompatible fertilizer technologies for indoor and traditional farming. Vast amounts of traditional fertilizer application aggravate climate change. A large portion gets wasted through natural processes, thus polluting our groundwater and air. While Slow- and Controlled-Release Fertilizers intend to improve fertilizer efficiency, SCRF coatings are made of synthetic chemicals and are too expensive for industrial application. We’re revolutionizing the industry by developing natural and biodegradable slow- and controlled-release coating technologies to minimize fertilizer waste and eliminate soil pollution. We’re constantly innovating, iterating, and improving. That’s the only way we can meet the farming industry’s most complex challenges.
