Our story began in 1949 with Gilbert Grosse, founder of Skokie Millwork, who worked alongside his brothers. Gilbert’s sons, Paul and Jim, started working there at a young age where they followed in their dad’s footsteps and are now the proud owners. Over 70 years and three generations later Skokie Millwork Inc. is still a family owned woodworking business. We pride ourselves on quality products and excellent customer service. You can choose any type of wood, we will handle the rest. We specialize in mouldings, doors, and cabinets. Mouldings are one of our most common requests and we grind our knives on site. Whether you want us to match your existing moulding or make something new we got you covered; simply email us a picture. You will be impressed by our quality craftsmanship that goes into each door you order. We do anything from residential to church and university entrances. We also make state of the art cabinetry that is perfect for your house or office space that is made to your design specifications.
