At SIQENS, we are committed to develop regenerative energy and hydrogen solutions based on fuel cells and electrochemical technology. The key challenge in the hydrogen economy is still present today: hydrogen is an ideal fuel, but extremely difficult to transport and store. We believe that ramping up the hydrogen economy is only possible with cost-effective solutions for last-mile distribution. Addressing this problem led to the development of the SIQENS Ecoport, a methanol fuel cell that was launched in 2019 and is used by businesses and authorities globally to bring power to the most extreme locations or shield-guard critical infarstructure. Built on a patented high-temperature polymer electrolyte membrane (HT-PEM) technology portfolio for power generation, SIQENS offers solutions to separate and purify hydrogen at the point of use from several feed gases – as from hydrogen-blends in natural gas pipelines or reformate gases from methanol or biogas. Accelerating the decarbonization of decentralized power generation, and driving down the cost of hydrogen delivery in industrial use and transportation.
