Extensively renovated and expanded in 2020, the museum, founded in 1971, displays all of the family's private rooms as well as Sigmund and Anna Freud's practices. Permanent exhibitions shed light on the development of psychoanalysis, the Freud family life and the history of the house. A conceptual art collection and special exhibitions confront Freud's thinking with contemporary positions and questions.
