Sigma Offshore is a provider of turret mooring and fluid transfer systems, including the patented Smart Mooring System (SMS). Sigma also provide consultancy services in structural engineering and naval architecture. Sigma has a special interest in devising economical solutions for FPSO/FSO Mooring and Fluid Transfer Systems. Sigma Offshore is owned by the Norwegian based venture capital firm Energy Ventures (energyventures.no), National Oilwell Varco (NOV.com), Scottish Enterprise's Scottish Venture Fund (SVF) and key Sigma employees. The company's HQ is in Aberdeen Scotland with branch offices in Houston, Oslo and Singapore.
